Peruweld Delivers a Landmark Chimney for ArcelorMittal Dunkirk

Peruweld, the Belgian expert in industrial boiler-making, has successfully completed the fabrication and delivery of a 60-meter-high chimney for ArcelorMittal’s sintering plant in Dunkirk. This ambitious project showcases Peruweld’s technical expertise and commitment to engineering excellence.
The chimney features a robust design with walls 6 to 30 mm thick made of Super Duplex 2507. Super Duplex 2507 was used to ensure maximum resistance to corrosion and high temperatures. The structure was shipped in segments and assembled on site using bolted components. Stainless steel 316L ladders and platforms are directly attached to the self-supporting wall, ensuring safe access and structural integrity.
